Dr. Neugebauer graduated in dentistry from the University of Heidelberg, which was followed by several years of work in the dental industry, most recently as Head of R&D Implantology. After completing further training as a specialist in oral surgery at the University of Cologne, he taught as a senior dentist at the Interdisciplinary Polyclinic for Oral Surgery and Implantology at the University of Cologne under Director Prof. Dr. Dr. J. E. Zöller. Since August 2010, he has been working in the dental clinic of Dres. Bayer, Kistler, Elbertzhagen and colleagues, Landsberg am Lech, providing further teaching and research activities for the University of Cologne. As well, Dr. Neugebauer has been a professor at Steinbeis University in Berlin since March 2021 and Transfer Institute Management of Dental and Oral Medicine Vice-President, Academy of Osseointegration in the USA. His research topics are: Reliability of Implant Therapy, Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy, Digital Volume Tomography, Guided Implantology and minimally invasive implant therapy, Ceramic Implants. During his career, several national and international publications have followed. He is also the editor of the atlas: Digital Volume Tomography in Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
